94th Running of Indy 500
It's a hot and humid day at the Indianapolis Motor Speeedway for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500. The current temperature at the track is 91F (33C). I imagine it will get a few degrees warmer before the end of the race. There is a slight chance for a thundershower this afternoon, but I think the race will get finished before any showers appear. Unlike F1 cars, Indy cars can't run when the track is wet because Indy car tires have no tread. Although this picture isn't of today's race you can see that there are a lot of people there. Estimates put the crowd at around 400,000.
