Travel across East Central Indiana is banned due to road conditions. I've never seen so many travel bans before. I've not been out of course, but I can imagine that in addition to the icy conditions, there are downed trees to contend with as well. County crews will definitely have their work cut out for them.
The temperature has risen above 32 to 33 now. It will begin to fall after midnight. All of the ice on the road from this morning, along with the layer of sleet and freezing rain on top of that should melt together a bit and form one thick layer of solid ice later tonight when the temperature falls back into the 20's.
Amazingly, the power is still on. It went off for about 6-8 minutes early this evening, but came back on. It was flickering quite a bit though. The winds died down after 9:30pm, but they might be coming back up a bit now. The lights just went off completely and back on. I certainly hope we don't lose power.
