The heat continues this week, but only for one more day. Notice the heat in the east and the cool weather in the west. This is caused by the ridge in the jet stream over the eastern half of the country. This week the jet stream will begin to transition into a more zonal flow from the west. This will bring seasonal temperatures across the country for the upcoming week.
