Season's First Winter Weather Advisory
An Alberta Clipper is heading southeast across southern Illinois and western Kentucky bringing with it our first snow that could cause slippery conditions on the roads. In anticipation of the snow, the NWS has issued a winter weather advisory across the area. Snowfall totals should be in the 2-4 inch range with some areas receiving up to 5 inches. This will not be a very troubling snowfall, but more of a nuisance for those who don't like it. What makes it a nuisance to me is that it comes on a weekend. It's a waste of good snow. Had it come on a weekday, maybe we'd have gotten a day off from school.
