Severe Weather Potential South

Look for big tornadoes with a lot of damage and even some deaths on the late news Saturday. A strong area of low pressure will be moving across the lower Ohio Valley beginning tomorrow. Severe weather will move ahead of the front. Here in southeast Indiana, I don't anticipate any severe weather, but there may be some gusty winds and brief heavy downpours. Earlier in the week, up to two inches of rain was forecast for the weekend, but I just don't see that happening. Once this storm moves out of the area by Tuesday, much cooler air will filter in behind and highs will likely be back into the low 50's (11C). This will only last for a day though and by the weekend of May 1, temperatures may be close to 80F (27C) As always though, time will tell.
