Strong Storms Strike the Deep South

Although I hate to say it, but I was right about the death and destruction across the south this afternoon. Some very long track tornadoes traveled across the deep south this afternoon with the worst in Yazoo county Mississippi. Reports are indicating that the tornado that struck this area was nearly 1 mile wide. Up to ten people were killed, three of which were children, while dozens of others were injured from the storm. I'm sure the NWS in Jackson, MS will be sending folks out to examine the damage on Sunday if they haven't already.
So far, there have been no storms across southeastern Indiana. A tornado watch has been issued for parts of western Indiana, but looking at radar there's nothing happening at this time. A watch only indicates though that conditions are favorable for storm development. Total rainfall for the day has only been 0.39". A far cry from the 1-2 inches forecast.
