Earth Shakes and Snow Melts

Apparently, there was an earthquake this morning across central Indiana. According to the USGS office, the quake registered 3.8 on the Richter scale. I didn't feel it, but two reports were made to the USGS from the Laurel area.

In weather news, the snow is gone. Early this morning, a quarter inch of rain fell washing a lot of the snow away. It was also warm today with a high temperature of 49F. This is the first day since December 1 that we've not had snow cover. Hopefully, after a dry and mild start to January, the weather will turn more interesting.
