Tornado Threat Increasing

Strong storms are moving through central Illinois with several tornado warnings issued. A tornado watch has been issued for most of Indiana until 6am Wednesday morning. I expect this watch to be expanded to the east later this evening.

Early this morning and into the afternoon, heavy rain and storms dumped up to 3 inches of rain across the area. It was cold through most of the day today too. The temperature hovered around 44F (6C) until 3pm and then began to sky rocket as a warm front moved across the area. The current temperature at 9pm is 70F (21C)! The warm and humid air provides plenty of fuel for severe weather.
